With cold weather coming, I decided it was time for Indy to aquire another mama-made item (I'm pretty sure last year's pointy gnome hat is far too small). I started with this pattern, but as seems to be my m.o., I took it in a slightly different direction once I started; eliminating the brim and elongating the bottom into a capelet.

Old new chairs for the kitchen table (our current dinnette chairs are horribly ripped, and have always been a bit bulky for my taste, and while I'll still probably recover these ones, their simpler design means I won't have to mess with sewing vinyl). . .
