Whenever I can, I choose natural products, especially for Indy. But it is surprisingly hard to find products that are 100% natural, even at the health-food store, so I was excited to find Growing Up Herbal on etsy. The owner, Meagan, makes a variety of natural skin and healthcare products for children, from body wash to herbal throat syrup, and was kind enough to send me a sample of her "Natural Tushies Cloth Diaper Cream." I gotta say that I really like this stuff! A blend of all-natural ingredients (Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Wildcrafted Candelilla Wax, Aloe Vera Juice, Organic Comfrey Leaf {Symphytum officinale}, Organic Plantain Leaf {Plantago major}, Arnica flowers {Arnica montana}, Organic Calendula flowers {Calendula officinalis}, Organic Olive Leaf, 100% Pure Essential Oils), it's a cross between a balm and a cream, with a consistency similar to dairy butter, and a soft lavender scent.

It's melts easily at body temperature and spreads smoothly, and makes an excellent "barrier cream" at every diaper change to protect baby's bum from wetness. This cream is completely cloth diaper safe, but would obviously work great with disposables as well. The ingredients soothe irritation, making it great as an all over balm for rashes or dry skin, even for litttle ones who are out of diapers (and for mommies, too). Indy has pretty awful eczema on her thighs, and this balm is awesome for that! Just be sure to keep this out of a hot car or your back pocket, as it will melt in warmer temperatures.
